The Portal has been tested on versions of all popular web browsers, as listed below.
Although some visual characteristics (colours, shadows, shapes) may vary from browser to browser, the structure and content of each page remain the same.
The Portal works with minimum versions of web browsers as follows:
- Chrome 18
- Mozilla Firefox 7
- Internet Explorer 9
- Opera 11
- Safari
Text Browsers
Furthermore, the Portal has been tested for operation using the Lynx text Browser, which displays web pages in simple text form (without images, mouse operation, colours, sounds etc.)
CSS3 Language
As the Portal uses CSS3 stylesheet language for displaying some pages, web browsers which do not support this feature, may not produce the intended outcome for the Portal. To take advantage of CSS3 capabilities, the suggested web browsers are Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer (version 10) or Opera.
Screen Resolution
The Portal was designed for display on screens with a minimum resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels and a VGA colour spectrum.
W3C
As indicated by the logotypes at the bottom of each page, the Portal sufficiently complies with the AA standard of the W3C web consortium regarding correct and accessible web design.
